Emeritus Faculty Bud MacCallum received the 2012 Sells Award for Distinguished Lifetime Achievement in Multivariate Research from the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology.

Lab faculty member Abigail Panter co-authored a research paper cited in an amicus brief filed by UNC to the Supreme Court relating to the role of diversity in law school admissions. Full details can be found at http://uncnews.unc.edu/content/view/5478/70/

Lab faculty and director Patrick Curran received the 2012-2013 Chapman Family Teaching Award in recognition of his distinguished record of teaching undergraduates at UNC. He will serve as a Fellow in the Institute for Arts and Humanities during the 2013 spring semester.

Lab alumnus Li Cai was named a 2012 Presidential Early Career Scientist by President Obama. Li is an Associate Professor at UCLA and was honored for his early contributions to improved measurement methods, particularly in the area of statistical computing. Li also received the 2012 Raymond B. Cattell Award for early career contributions from the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology.
